A day at the ballpark can be a lot of fun – and a lot of calories! Check out these tips to enjoy the ballgame and not worry about derailing your diet!
Swap out soda for water: A 12 ounce cola has 137 calories* and 33 grams of sugar. Most stadium drinks are much larger than this. Water has zero calories and is great hydration for a hot day!
Drink light beer: A 12 ounce beer has 153 calories vs. 110 for a light beer of the same size.
Avoid popcorn: A large popcorn with butter has over 1,000 calories! Try peanuts instead. You will eat them slower taking them out of the shell, and 2/3 of a cup of peanuts has 170 calories and 7 grams of protein.
Instead of pizza or a cheese steak try a hot dog: A hot dog has about 320 calories with 5 grams of protein. Try low calorie toppings such as mustard.
Love Cracker Jack? Stick to the serving size: 1/2 a cup has 120 calories, so share the bigger package with a friend to have a treat at the game!
Bring a snack from home: Cut up fruits and veggies in a plastic bag are a great, healthy portable snack to bring to any event!
