It is true… my triathlon is tomorrow and I’m excited.
I am hoping to get in there, get through the race and just not piss anyone off. That is my goal, haha. Stay out of the big dogs way during transitions and learn the how to’s of this amazing and kick ass sport.
This is a huge day for me, I always wanted to do this. I always wanted to be able to call myself a tri-athlete and to push myself to a point where I can actually run, bike and swim, but I don’t know if I ever thought I would. I realize this is just a tri-sprint and that I have a long way to go to hit a real tri, but it is going to happen within the year. I think this is going to be a first of many races and many goals not only reached, but surpassed.
I’ve decided to be nothing but excited about this. No nerves allowed. It is an experience like any other and it is going to kick ass. I’m hitting this race with two of my favorite fitness partners – Crystal and Jolene – I have my two biggest cheerleaders there, Ben and Lillie. How can any of that be bad?
I’m going to take it slow, steady and really watch what the pro’s are doing. I’ve watched a million videos on transition and George gave me some priceless tips. I’ve got my game face on and I’m ready to go!
So, next time I post I’ll be a mother-effing tri-athlete.
See you then and make sure to check for pics on our Twitter and Instagram feed!
