Kara Bocchi

I was at a shoot doing makeup for Flywheel Sports and in walked this presence of sunshine through the elevator. It was Kara Bocchi and she was all smiles and happy positive energy. Her personality 1000% matches her energy and I am not going to lie, I had always wondered how these incredible constant smiles would translate in a badass Flywheel class. Well, Kara put my wonder to shame when I took her class for the first time this week. It’s not that I didn’t expect greatness, don’t get me wrong, Flywheel only allows a very top tier level of instructors through their doors, and I could tell that Kara would be incredible, but as a newbie I didn’t expect what I got. Once class started, the constant smiles were replaced by an amazing energy. Kara is assertive and positive and her presence in that room really demands your attention and commands you to really work. I was impressed.
Her class was tough and made me work really hard. She was calm and in control of the room and you could tell that she felt at home and loved being there. I know when I finish a class and feel accomplished it was an amazing class and I absolutely felt accomplished after this ride.

If you are in the NY area and you haven’t taken Kara’s class, you are missing out. Period.

About Julia

Is a successful NYC based makeup artist - you can see her work all over TV, in top magazines all over the world and she has been featured in the New York Times, Prevention Magazine and numerous other publications, she is the former beauty editor for Bloginity and owns a small boutique beauty business called Brush Beauty. She has had a few careers ranging from construction management to radio and everything in between, however, the constant passion in her life was always fitness. Even when she lost her way from it, she was always constantly motivated by athletes and anything movement oriented around her. She is the type of person who only gets star struck by people like Gabby Douglas, Matt Long, Pat Riley or Kerri Walsh and the thought of meeting any of them puts her stomach in little girly teenage knots. Favorite workouts: Bootcamps, Spinning, swimming and lifting alone with my headphone on.
