Ummm, so I just signed myself up for a triathlon sprint in September. I am half completely excited as can be and half wanting to vomit. WHOA. Yes, I realize it is just a sprint, but it will be my first real serious race and CERTAINLY my first tri-anything. So, what does a tri-sprint mean? Well, it certainly doesn’t mean a full triathlon or even a half. It is literally a mini-tri. We Swim: 750 Meters, Bike: 17K, Run: 5K, so it isn’t too bad. I actually think since I have almost six months to train, I should be great… the training is what scares me a bit though.
I mean, I am SO excited, but I just don’t know quite what to do or how to do it. So, I am bringing in the experts 😀
As One co-founder George Vafiades is a Triathlon/Ironman trainer and he is going to help me along this process. I have never trained for a race before, well not a race like this, so I’m really not sure how to go about it and I am so excited to learn.
I need to really get my diet in check, the thought of eating solely to fuel my body is a really exciting thought for me (weird I know), but I think it is really cool. Making food to give you energy so that I can work on Fit Journey and work at training as efficiently as possible and ON TOP OF THAT feel amazing from all the great foods entering my body is an exciting prospect. Of course I don’t have to go that extreme and probably won’t all the time, but I def need to get my diet in check a touch more.
So, that’s it for now. Get ready to get pounded with tri-training updates and how it is going.
Anyone want to train with me??? In person or virtually, training buddies are a KEY to success.
xx
