Whether you sip it hot, or iced for the warmer weather, green tea is an excellent beverage for your health!  Try to replace one cup of coffee per day with green tea, which also can be found decaffeinated.

Why it’s a super food:

-Has zero calories

-Green tea contains antioxidants called catechins.

-The main catechin in green tea is Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG).  EGCG may help with the following:  weight loss, regulation of blood glucose levels, anti-aging benefits, fights free radical cell damage, and may help fight cancer cells.

Try this great green tea smoothie:

1 cup brewed green tea (cooled)

2 cups spinach

1 medium banana

1 cup pineapple

1 mango, peeled/cored

Put all ingredients in blender and drink up!
